Why is this needed?

Tennis Elbow is very common and can impact on your ability to work or play sports.  A wide array of physiotherapy treatment options are available, but there is no agreement on the best approach.  We have used the best research evidence and experience of expert physiotherapists to design an optimised treatment package.  We now need to test how well it works.

The Research Team

What will the trial involve?

We will ask for people with Tennis Elbow to volunteer at three UK hospitals in Derby, Birmingham and Sheffield.  They will be randomly allocated to receive usual physiotherapy or the new optimised physiotherapy treatment package.  The initial trial will see if this is feasible and whether expanding the research into a much larger trial is realistic.

Why get involved?

“What I like is that there is a very clear package of suggested treatment...”
